FOTD, Nails, Casual Outfit: A bit of red with a deal at Winners

I don't post a whole lot of "deals" that I manage to score at stores because Dale very much looks after me and spoils me with things. But I'll try to share with you any deals I can score!

In Canada we have a store called Winners and if you have time (and patience) to sift through racks and shelves, you can often find a great deal.
Winners is sort of like Marshalls - which, I am happy to say, has arrived in Canada.
Oh yeahhh!

So look what I found at Winners the other week which I am happy about.
I bought these using one of the gift certificates Dale got for me from Winners :) Such a sweetheart!

I loved the marked creasings and fades on these!

I love the black sequins on the back pockets of the jeans and there's even a bit of sequins on the front pockets too. They blend in really well since the jeans are a dark wash.

Yay! $16 for jeans?! I couldn't believe it LOL
And I like how they look. Plus they are comfortable and the denim is soft.
The brand of jeans is Almost Famous. I have not heard of this brand but these look better (and feel better) than a couple of my $180+ CDN pair of jeans.

Have you heard of the brand Almost Famous Clothing?

So here's yesterday's FOTD, OOTD (with the new jeans) & Mani....a bit of red.
Wore this casual outfit to meet clients

Red Checkered Shirt is from Forever21
Jeans are by Almost Famous
Heels are from Guess

French manicured nails are by Revlon
(the "medium length" nails are more conservative with Revlon - read, shorter)

Soooo, I'm going to meet Dale today at the airport!! :)
Gosh we are so last minute LOL We're still flying to New York tomorrow, however he might change our flight to stay one extra day in New York city...and during this weekend, we might make an overnight trip to Atlantic City New Jersey. I kind of like last minute changes - makes it more exciting!
I'll take lots of pictures and share with you later :)

Have you scored any shopping deals recently??

OOTN & FOTN

It was so nice to catch up with friends on Friday night (thanks Rob!)  ;)

We went to a club called Bar244
I really liked the music - lots of dance music! All drinks are cheap at $3-$4. I think the only turn off for me was the young crowd - it felt like a throwback to high school ten years ago. Okay, that would be cool only if I was ten years younger LOL
Ah well, still had a fab time with friends and that's what counts :)

I haven't done an OOTN and FOTN post in a while so here is one for you (now you know why I was late ten minutes Rob haha)

I coloured my own hair earlier this week with L'oreal Feria #45 Deep Bronzed Brown.
If I stay within 1-2 shades of my natural hair colour, L'oreal Feria hair colour has never let me down. And even though my hair is a long length, I only need one Feria box dye

The eye shadow I have on is mainly MAC Nehru which I did a post on a few days ago here
The lashes I have on are my favourite pair! It's my trusty Ardell 107s and I've done a post on them here

I layered two necklaces: one is Hello Kitty and the other is from Charlotte Russe

I wore the Guess Kayla dress, which I'm not surprised to see they are sold out of
My purse is Steve Madden (I loveee the studs on this bag)
My heels are the Patent Uber Covered Platform Pump in Nude by Charlotte Russe (patent + nude + high heel = love at first sight for me! I have a shoe haul post coming up by the way)

These are the side slits in the Guess Kayla Dress

And these are all the accessories I had on last night :)
Not mentioned already is the Charlotte Russe bracelet to the far left.
The Bebe cuff bracelet (under the high heels)
Both rings are from Forever21
My watch is from Guess

Do you like seeing these type of posts?
If so, I will try to do them more often....

And how is your weekend coming along? :)

Lady in Red

"Lady in Red" - that's the theme for my gf Mandy's birthday party tonight

She requested all her guests wear red if possible - so this is what I'm thinking

Michael Kors red patent leather purse*purse - check

Peller Estates Sparkling Rose
*alcoholic beverage (it's red too!) - check

Okay, not so red....but there is a red lipstick as one of the presents :P
*gift and card - check

I got this dress from Winners

The neckline is actually a bit loose and low
I made the mistake of taking a risk and not wearing fashion/body tape the last time I wore this dress  Uh this time around, a bit smarter and I have tape on. Although I can't get the tape to be 100% hidden - I can see it if I look down!

I'll be wearing black heels - not sure which ones yet :P
*red outfit - check

I'm actually using MAC Heritage Rouge pigment - doing pretty good with this red theme ;)

Sepia filter on camera
Gotta run now! I'm late and birthday girl asked me to do her makeup :P

What are your plans this evening?

OOTD for Sheesha

Another OOTD
This was to smoke sheesha at Cafe Le Monde earlier this week

Dress from Forever21, handbag from Michael Kors, sandals from Matisse
(haha look at that bruise on the big toe of my left foot! Heels I tell ya)
Sooooo....you know how much I love sheesha after trying it a month ago for 1st time.
Well, I've been trying to convince all my friends who haven't tried it to try it
First victim: Doug

Haha and he LOVED it!
He's taking his other friends for sheesha while I'm away in on vacay.
He's probably at the bar now! (jk)
Oh and I've gotten to know the owner at Cafe Le Monde.
He's such a nice guy once you talk to him :) He even opened up the shop late for Dani, Branko and I to have a drink with him, before they flew back to Europe
I highly recommend this hookah bar if you're around Yonge/Finch
This is a scheduled post since I'm currently away.
So I won't be able to get back to your comments right quickly :(

Weekend - sister's birthday, Saturday OOTD

My older sister's 35th Birthday was on Sunday :)
Unfortunately she wasn't feeling well & was down with a cold so we skipped family dinner plans. I still got a yummy slice of cake though!

Thursday night I went to C Lounge nightclub. I don't have any pictures, but it was dead there. The club's ambiance is much nicer than Brant House (love the palm trees and shallow pool on the patio!) - and the ladies were as gorgeous as ever.

If you're looking for a club in Toronto that has (1) nice ambiance and (2) beautiful ladies, I'd recommend C Lounge on a Friday or Saturday night.

Saturday night I went to Thompson Hotel's club 1812. Fuck, it was more dead than C Lounge on a Thursday. And the club is underground, nothing appealed to me - I'm not into it and don't recommend it. That's pretty sad if a club is dead on a Saturday night....here's what I wore Saturday night:

Dress from Forever 21, heels from Charlotte Russe (I still look at these shoes and think what a steal compared to those Steve Madden Caryssa heels)

Earrings from a store in China Town.
If you're ever looking for a dramatic pair of lashes, you've gotta check out the Ardell 107s.
They sell them at Pharma Plus/Rexall or, I have ordered them from Madame Madeline.
Lipgloss: MAC's Soft Dazzle Dazzleglass creme (LE?) and MAC's Poetic License LE (I luuuuv Poetic License but WTF MAC made it for the Holiday 2009 collection in a small 2.4 g/0.08 oz tube only!)
This was the only picture I have from Saturday night @ 1812 ;)
Right to Left: Patrick, Mandy, Daniel.

Lace tops, Casual OOTD & other clothes purchased from Pennsylvania

For the lovelies that wanted to see more face of the day (FOTD) posts and outfits posts.....

this was me on Sunday to meet up with a friend at a local Irish pub

Key to this look: MAC Corduroy eye shadow, Ardell 107 lashes & MAC Creme Cup lipstick

Lace tank from Charlotte Russe, white tank top underneath from Winners,

cardigan from Forever21, handbag from Michael Kors, jeans from Guess, sandals by Matisse

Clothes Purchased from Pennsylvania Trip

I went to Pennsylvania in early August and picked up a few things. Post is a bit delayed but here is a few things I got clothing wise....

I LOVE lace. When I found these lace tanks and tops from Charlotte Russe I was super happy :)

(above): floral top from Charlotte Russe

I always wanted a destroyed (slashed) tank top. I couldn't find any that I liked at stores, so I bought a plain cotton tank at Forever21 and slashed it myself ;)

(above): before destroying

(above): after destroying

(above): pink shorts from Forever21

(above): white ribbed cotton tanks from Jockey
I almost always layer a white cotton tank under tees and other coloured tanks ;)

(above): tee from Guess

(above): jeans from Guess

(above): polo golf shirts from Macy's

I LOVE the Polo big pony golf shirts. And the "boyfriend/guy" look is "in" for Fall season. Yay! :)

Sooo....what are you up to today?!
